Salary: AED 25,000 per month
Working Hours: 12 hours per day
Schedule: 6 days per week (5 days may be considered for an exceptional candidate)

Overview
A private family based in Umm Suqeim is seeking an experienced, professional, and proactive Governess / House Manager to oversee the educational development and wellbeing of two young children while also managing the smooth day-to-day operation of the household.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childcare, education, or governess roles, combined with previous experience managing household staff and coordinating household operations. This is a long-term position for someone who is highly organised, nurturing, and capable of working independently.

* Child 1: 5 years old
* Child 2: 3 years old
Both children attend school full-time.
Key Responsibilities
Governess Duties
* Provide full childcare support outside of school hours.
* Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational, developmental, and enrichment activities.
* Support children’s social, emotional, and academic development.
* Encourage and develop independence, life skills, and positive routines.
* Create engaging learning opportunities through play and structured activities.
* Manage children’s schedules and daily routines.
* Liaise regularly with schools, teachers, and educational providers.
* Coordinate and manage school-related requirements including:
* School events
* Dress-up/theme days
* School trips and excursions
* Parent communications
* School supplies and requirements
* Organise children’s extracurricular activities where required.
* Plan and oversee healthy, balanced meal plans for the children.
* Ensure children’s belongings, school items, and schedules remain organised and up to date.
House Manager Duties
* Oversee the day-to-day management of the household.
* Create and manage staff schedules and rotas.
* Supervise household staff and ensure duties are completed to a high standard.
* Coordinate household operations and maintain smooth running of the home.
* Liaise with external contractors and service providers including:
* Maintenance companies
* Repairs and household services
* Suppliers and vendors
* Monitor household needs and proactively arrange required services.
* Ensure household systems, schedules, and procedures are maintained effectively.
* Assist with general household administration as required.
Candidate Requirements
* Previous experience as a Governess, Private Educator, Nanny-Governess, or similar role.
* Experience managing household staff and household operations.
* Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and take initiative.
* Professional, discreet, and trustworthy.
* Confident liaising with schools, teachers, and external providers.
* Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate learning.
* Fluent English speaker.
* Teaching qualification or educational background preferred.
