Academic Director (EYFS)

We are seeking an experienced Academic Director to lead the strategic development and quality assurance of our educational programme across the nursery.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide strategic leadership for the educational programme and academic standards.

* Drive continuous improvement in teaching quality through quality assurance systems and performance reviews.

* Lead curriculum development and ensure consistency across all classrooms.

* Analyse children’s learning outcomes and use data to improve educational quality.

* Develop, coach, and mentor the teaching team, creating professional development pathways.

* Design and deliver staff training and leadership development programmes.

* Lead academic preparation for inspections and ensure compliance with EYFS and KHDA requirements.

* Promote innovation, research-based practice, and a culture of educational excellence.

Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

* Minimum 5 years’ experience in an academic leadership position within an EYFS or international early years setting.

* Proven experience in curriculum leadership, quality assurance, and staff development.

* Strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and early childhood best practices.

* Demonstrated ability to coach and develop educational leaders and teaching teams.

* Experience leading inspection readiness and continuous improvement initiatives.

* Excellent leadership, analytical, communication, and organisational skills.

Start Date: August 2026

Salary: rate dependent on background and experience, open to discussing candidates requirements

Hours: 8:00AM - 4:00PM
